It works perfectly! The quality is solid and the design is simple. There's only two pieces. One slides into the other. You mount one plate on the wall with 4 screws and the other plate gets screwed to the monitor with 4 included screws. The package comes with 3 sets of machine screws in different sizes for mounting the other plate to the screen - so the screws you need for this will probably be included in one of those sets. The whole thing is very slim - the back of the screen mounts about 5/8" away from the wall - that's just about the closest you could possibly expect with any mount. It is really solid and well-constructed. I use it with my 100mm-VESA-compliant 21.6" LCD monitor, and it feels like it could easily take a lot more weight if it needed to. Also, once you connect the two parts of the plate with two screws (included), it locks the whole thing into place really nicely so it won't move at all, even if you were to rotate it any direction. I have two monitors side by side and I wanted the one on the right at a 30 degree angle so it was easier to see. When you have two monitors flat against the wall, there will usually be a glare on one or both monitors. More expensive mounts allow you to adjust this. If you want to angle these brackets and save a few bucks - here is a little trick: I purchased a couple of rubber door stops from CVS and wedged them in until the angle was just right, then tightened the screws down. It worked like a charm and because they were made of black rubber and hidden behind the monitor you couldn't even see them. |
